My Deepest Desire

Scripture: “Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” – Psalm 37:3-4

Over the last month, the desire of my heart has been to carry out PRESENCE in my daily walk with Jesus. I must say it has challenged me. But I know I am not alone in this struggle – especially for those of you like me who spend our day multitasking; never being present enough to do just one thing. I have found what used to be a skill (multitasking) in the workplace is now a weakness in retirement.

Multitasking takes away my ability to sit and be present with God in a world that constantly distracts me. All I want is to explore God’s beauty and presence daily. Presence for me requires alertness, awareness, focus, concentration, silence, and solitude with Him. I am praying God will give me this desire of my heart and more!
