Scripture: “You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

Message:

For the last three years in January, I have made it a practice to identify a word that I would carry and focus on throughout my year. My word for 2022 is “PRESENCE.”

You can look at my post tonight and say, “Hey Kirk, I have not seen an art post from you since early November, what’s up with that?”
To that I say, “You are right, but I hope to find presence in Jesus in the new year!”
Abiding in Him with my head, my body, and my heart. To also find deeper meaning in my relationship presence with Jesus, my wife (Rebecca), and with others. And paint and write more! You see, as the Observer (Enneagram 5) that I am, I have been in my head a lot. And somehow over the last two months, my head (thoughts), my body (action) and my heart (emotions) were not playing well together. As a result, I lost my desire to paint. I know much of it related to canceled and postponed Christmas celebrations over the last month. Lots of sicknesses. And while my head was following that flow of those dry dark circumstances, I was never far from God.

Thankfully, Jesus is that flow of living water, who each day brings my soul back to attention! It is His stabilizing presence in my life that has allowed me to again put paint to canvas and pen to paper.
