Scripture: “The Light shines on in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it or overpower it or appropriate it or absorb it [and is unreceptive to it].”  – John 1:5  AMP

Notice how the scripture clearly contracts between the Light of Jesus and darkness that is without hope of any future (without Him). I understand where my victory comes from. It comes from my faith in the Lord. The darkness (evil) does not even understand the Light, let alone ever try to overpower it.

One of the songs I enjoy singing is “See A Victory” from Elevation Worship. I sing this song like a warrior on a battlefield. My arms are often flailing wildly with an imaginary sword (at almost 63 years old this is a little odd so I keep this activity private) while singing, but I want satan to clearly know and recognize Jesus has overcome the darkness and evil in our world today and in the future. Understood satan? This song stirs up my faith for today while singing about what is promised to come in the future. I need faith for this hard season of life. We all need the Light. Victory Understood is my declaration of faith in the victory Christ has already accomplished.
